This page is part of the Caesars Palace Dealers "Archives". These are the original pages used to organize the Dealers of Caesars Palace.

For many of you, the topic of Extra-Board Dealers is not an "issue" because you have a full-time position and it doesn't affect you.

If that's the case, please be aware of the unfair policy regarding Extra-Board Dealers and let it serve as another example of how

management unfairly treats all their employees.

Throughout the history of Caesars Palace there has always been an Extra-Board (with one period of exception).

The ONLY way to get a Full-Time position at Caesars Palace was to first serve on the Extra-Board (EB).

Then, when a Full-Time position opened up, the EB Dealer with the most seniority was given the first opportunity to take the position.

Well, "times have changed" from a "fair system" to a "favoritism system"!

Why has it changed? Because we have no strength as individual Dealers to have prevented it!

Now, the Extra-Board Dealers have to wait years (that part is the same) to get a Full-Time position, if ever!

Caesars Palace management actually told the EB Dealers that they should take a “full-time dual-rate” position that was being offered because

if they stayed on the EB they would NEVER be made full time dealers.

For those  EB dealers who have been made Full-Time many were passed up who had been at Caesars Palace longer!

Also, when it comes to the EB Dealers getting scheduled work, many do not get near as many days as others. Actually, there are Pussycat Dealers who get to work (train) in place of the EB Dealers in the regular pits. They also get "preferred income" days!

Additionally, when Full-Time positions have come open, they have been taken by "Transfer Dealers" from other Harrah's properties, who never served one day on the EB at Caesars Palace.

We have nothing personal against Dealers transferring from other properties if they are qualified, however there should be some kind of ratio established.

As an example:

If there are say ten full-time positions open and there are Dealers who are requesting transfer from other properties, we suggest that it would be fair that at least half the positions are filled by the CP EB Dealers, and  BY SENIORITY and the rest of the positions can be made available to Transfers. Otherwise, it is like management has said, the EB dealers will NEVER be made full-time.

STOP FAVORITISM PRACTICES NOW!
