As with all of our current benefits, we may lose our Health Insurance when the new owners take over.

We know, you are saying, "They can't or won't do that!"

Really? Why not? Because it's the Law?

Well there are several ways to get around the laws for new owners of companies (for current owners as well for that matter).

Why would they take away our health insurance?

It's obvious, PROFITS!

Just think, if they paid no health insurance for all non-union employees for 90 days, they would save millions!

Those millions would go to them!

If they are planning to break up the casino division and sell off properties, doesn't it make sense that they would want to profit as much as possible prior to the next sale?

Also, if they don't take away our health insurance, another ploy for them to save millions is the Bill which allows them to charge an employee up to 10% of their gross income (please see the page "Insurance Issues" on this website for a full explanation of the Bill, including links to the Law).
