COMPANY PROPOSAL: ARTICLE 10 HOLIDAYS
1.
The following days shall be recognized as holidays for Full Time Regular
employees: New Year’s Day President’s Day Memorial Day Independence Day (July 4) Labor Day Thanksgiving Day Christmas
Day [Open]
2.
Full Time Regular employees who have been actively at work during the
week in which a recognized holiday occurs shall be eligible to receive pay for
such holiday, provided they have worked their full scheduled day before and
their full scheduled day after the holiday, unless excused by the Employer. [Open]
3,
Holiday Pay Procedure shall be as follows:
(a)
An eligible employee shall be paid hourly wages, excluding tokes, up to a
maximum of eight (8) hours for the time not worked on a recognized holiday. [Open]
(b)
An eligible employee shall be paid one and one-half (1½) time hourly
wages, excluding tokes, for all time worked on a holiday and in addition, shall
receive eight (8) hours straight time pay as holiday pay. [Open]
4.
Holiday scheduling shall first be offered on a voluntary basis; however,
the Employer reserves the right to assign schedules if, in its determination,
there are not enough volunteers to meet the anticipated work requirements. [Open]
UNION COMMENTS/OPINION: The Union has proposed PTO, which includes credit for "Holidays". See
