COMPANY PROPOSAL: ARTICLE 9 VACATION
1.
All Full Time Regular employees, upon completing one (1) year of
continuous employment (i.e. one (1) year of Bargaining Unit Seniority”) shall
be entitled to one (1) week of vacation with pay. [Open] 2. All Full Time Regular employees, upon completing two (2) years of continuous employment in the Bargaining Unit, shall be entitled to two (2) weeks of vacation with pay. [Open]
3.
All Full Time Regular employees, upon completing eight (8) years of
continuous employment in the Bargaining Unit, shall be entitled to three (3)
weeks of vacation with pay. [Open]
4.
Vacation pay will be at the employee’s straight time rate of pay
excluding tokes. [Open]
5.
All Full Time Regular employees who have completed more than one (1) year
of employment and who are terminated for reasons other than cause, shall be
entitled to a proration of earned vacation for the year in which the
termination, or retirement, occurs, provided they have completed at least six
(6) months employment since their last anniversary date. [Open]
6.
Employees may take vacation throughout the calendar year except for
specific periods as specified by the Employer.
Vacation shall be scheduled and taken Monday through Sunday, i.e., in
week increments. The Employer will
make every effort to grant a vacation request provided the employee is in
compliance with Section 7. [Open]
7.
Employee shall submit requests for vacation dates by September 30 of each
year. [Open]
8.
Those eligible employees who fail to submit vacation requests each year
will be assigned a vacation date by the Employer. [Open]
9.
Except for emergencies of a serious nature, no changes shall be made
within thirty (30) days of the date an employee is scheduled to go on vacation. [Open]
10.
Employees entitled to more than two (2) weeks of vacation shall not be
allowed to take more than two (2) consecutive weeks at one
time except with the express consent of the Employer. [Open]
