Extremely Important!

It was filed with the Secretary of State Wednesday 09/17/2008.

Please print initiative double sided, second page on back of first page etc.., so that you have three pages printed on both sides and must be stapled to qualify as one document.

Please start gathering signatures immediately!

Besides collecting signatures from our friends, family and neighbors our main focus will be manning Early Voting Locations and main Election Day locations.

If you have any questions or for some reason you have trouble printing out the petition please don’t hesitate to contact Al Maurice and he will make sure you get what you need.

Important Message:

Until early voting begins we must try to gather as many signatures as we can. We can gather signatures at any government facility such as Motor Vehicle Departments, Public Libraries etc… The Motor Vehicle Department has marked off various sections in front of their buildings for signature gatherers so they have made it as easy as possible. You can set up a little table if you like but all you basically need is a clipboard and petitions. Let me know if you need anything, especially petitions. We have some extra clipboards if you can’t get one and even some name tags.

This may be the only way we can stop Wynn’s tip confiscation, we have to get out there and get those signatures. I know its going to take some sacrifice and some time out of your day but please realize how important this is.

Collecting Signatures at the DMV

The best method is to go about a half hour before the DMV opens and collect signatures from the people waiting in line for the doors to open. They are not in a hurry and have nothing else to do but wait. The Doors open at 8:00 AM and there usually are from 25 to 50 people waiting with more coming all the time. Even after the doors open it is worth while staying and catching people as they come during the day. There will also be people there from both the Obama and McCain camps getting people to register to vote and you want to separate yourself from them a little if you can so the people don't confuse the issue.

When the DMV doors open, don’t hold up anyone from going in or security will get on your case, they just don’t want you to hold up the line once the doors are open. Once everyone is in the building there is no problem with approaching people as they come.

Fellow Tip Earners:

            We have to get a handle on who is doing what, where and how signatures are being gathered for the PEST initiative petition. It’s important that we have a rough idea of what people are doing, areas you are covering, estimate of signatures gathered so we can fill in the gaps and cover areas not being worked. 

            We need volunteers that we can call upon when needed. Please respond with your name contact information and what days and time you are available.

            Now that the courts have ruled that we don’t have to gather signatures from all Nevada Counties and can acquire all our signatures from right here in Clark County leaves us with no excuse to get the signatures we need if we get out there and hustle.

            Email us or call us by phone and give us your name and phone number so we will be able to be in contact and get organized and it will also help to know how many people are collecting signatures.

            One good way to collect signatures is going door to door in your neighborhood.

Judge throws out law requiring petitions signed in all counties

This is extremely good news for the committee to Prevent Employers from Seizing Tips ( PEST ) initiative petition.

We can gather all our signatures locally in Clark County . This lifts a tremendous burden from the signature gathering process.

We can do it! Let’s get out there and get those signatures!!!
